Ergot Press — logo Friday, July 15th, 2022 Pleased to announce a new story of mine, Think Tank, out this morning in the online journal ergot. If you haven’t heard of them yet, they’re a recent addition to the weird lit scene already making impactful statements with experimental horror. ergot. maintains an alluring, smart, and subtly vanguard aesthetic, which I feel is perfect for this story. So if you’ve got a moment to check it out.

coffin+bell Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 A few days late on this update, because this is technically a New Years’ story in a New Years’ edition of the journal, but Coffin Bell has just released their fifth issue, including my story, Loach Eye the Blood Trapper. It’s a slasher written in a dialogue-only format. It’s my weirdest piece yet published, I’d have to say. If that sounds appealing, head over to Coffin Bell and check it out, along with all their other macabre offerings. They’re an online-only journal that deserves support for such a consistent aesthetic and their simple approach to eerieness. Happy New Year!

SBLJ2 Thursday, October 13th, 2021 Silver Webb of the Santa Barbara Literary Journal has crafted together another excellent issue of the series. This time it’s an overtly eerie, tactfully released compendium of horrors, coinciding with Halloween, Samhain, Día de los Muertos. These are celebrations of spirits, realms, the dead, that precarious curtain of shadows shrouding away what seems lost to us, yet in truth peers back from somewhere just beyond. My contribution is titled A Rite in Steeple Manor. You can read an excerpt here, and purchase the issue here. Happy Fall!

PostSBLJ Fri, June 18th, 2021 Had a nice time talking to Maryanne Knight of The Santa Barbara Literary Journal last week. She had some great questions and observations about a story, Hex Education, which I’ve got coming out in their sixth issue, Saturn’s Return. She’s also got a stunning piece in the issue, The Cauldron. Check out the interview here. And grab a copy here.

molotovcocktail Mon, May 17th, 2021 The new issue of Molotov Cocktail is out today, and the last of its three brief and unsettling stories is one of mine, The Third. This is one of the most fun and, in my opinion, endorsable flash journals out there. Lots of flare. Lots of striking content. Check out my story here. Check out the journal here.
